Can you imagine being cooped up with your family on a 43-foot sailboat for a month? How about a year? How about seven? In 2003, the Crafton family liquidated their properties and possessions and departed from Florida on an 83-month, 30,000 mile journey circumventing the entire globe, stopping in 23 countries and catching the eye of the Washington Post staff writer Steve Hendrix.
